And the Lord called unto Moses and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the Lord, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock. If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord. And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering: and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. And he shall kill the bullock before the Lord: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into his pieces. And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay the wood in order upon the fire: And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar: But his inwards and his legs shall he wash in water: and the priest shall burn all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord. (Leviticus 1:1-9)

Hello everyone. I would like to preach the words from the book of Leviticus. Levi is the name of one of the twelve sons of Jacob. Jacob had two wives, Leah and Rachel. Levi was born of Leah. Leah had her first and second sons, and then upon having her third son, she said, "I have given my husband three sons. Therefore, from now on my husband will be joined with me." With that hope she named her son, Levi. The word, "levi," means "to unite." That is why Leviticus leads us, who had become distant from God through sin, to come before God and become united with Him. That is what Leviticus tells us about.

While I speak about the words in the book of Leviticus, you can discover the obstacles in your heart keeping you from being united with God. I hope that such things will be cast away from your heart. If your heart is far from God, why is that? Why is it that even though you pray, God does not answer your prayer? I hope that you will discover why it is you cannot meet God even though you want to. I hope that these issues will be corrected so that you can unite with God. The book of Leviticus talks about these things in great detail and depth.

God Requires Sacrifice

Offerings are discussed from Leviticus chapter 1. Among the many offerings that are recorded in the Bible, Leviticus chapter 1 talks about the burnt offering. Starting from verse 3, the verses are about the burnt offering of a male bullock without blemish. From verse 10, it talks about the burnt offerings of sheep or goats. Then, from verse 14, it mentions burnt offerings using turtledoves or young pigeons. Therefore, in Leviticus chapter 1, three kinds of burnt offerings are presented. I cannot talk about all three burnt offerings right now. First, I want to talk about giving a burnt offering with a male bullock.

In chapter 1, verse 3, it says, "If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish." On the other hand, Leviticus chapter 4 talks about the sin offering. If a common person has committed sin, the offering for the sin is a kid of the goats, a female without blemish. For the peace offering mentioned in Leviticus chapter 3, they will not differentiate between the offering being a male or female. However, the burnt offering must surely be a male, whether it is a bullock, sheep, or goat.

Furthermore, from verse 4, the procedure of the burnt offering is recorded. "And he shall put his head upon the head of the burnt offering and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. And he shall kill the bullock before the Lord: and the priests, Aaron's sons shall bring the blood and sprinkle the blood upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation."

Some people say that animals appear to be very simple on the outside, but their insides are very complicated. In contrast, plants are simple on the inside, but appear very complicated on the outside. Actually, the insides of trees are quite simple, yet they are outwardly very complicated with their branches, leaves, flowers, and fruit. In contrast, animals appear simple on the outside, but their insides are quite complicated with their numerous organs, such as their intestines, livers, and lungs. When giving a burnt offering, God said to skin the entire animal, which wraps and hides the complicated things inside. Additionally, you are to cut the body of the offering animal into pieces, take the entrails, pull them out, wash them in water, and place everything on top of the altar. In the end, God instructs them to burn everything.

When God sees that the offering has been completely burnt and that only the smoke and ashes remain, God says that the perfect offering has been given.

In the Old Testament, there were many offerings besides the burnt offering. However, whatever offering it was, God always required a sacrifice as the offering. Let us think a little deeper about this. What people hate the most is sacrifice. However, God said that when He sees a sacrifice after it has shed its blood, put to death, burnt, and turned to ashes, He says, "What a sweet savor this is." From a certain point of view, it seems God is quite vicious. When you slash the neck of a bullock with a knife to give an offering, the bullock struggles to stay alive. Then it trembles, collapses, and dies.

"This is so terrible. This is not something that should be done again." I do not know how vicious, ruthless, or violent God is. However, what this all means is that God must see the blood of the offering to be satisfied and joyful.

God Who Is Difficult for Us to Understand

Everyone, might we have selected the wrong object to serve? Isn't God cruel, calling us evil for feeling sorry for the bullock, sheep, or goat being put to death? In this manner, there are many things about God that are difficult for us to understand. When I first read the Bible, I thought that there were only good stories. But as I read the Bible more and more, I realized that what the Bible was saying was very different from what I had thought. One by one, none of the stories of the Bible fit my heart at all. Not only that, I could not understand its contents. My heart was filled with questions and doubts.

At first, I read the Bible and I could not even get past the first few pages. I had the Bible open to the same spot for days, and thought, "Why is the Bible saying this? Why does the Bible contain these kinds of things?" I often thought about those kinds of things deeply for days.

However, the Holy Spirit led my heart. From time to time, I began to understand the parts of the Bible that I could not understand before. I was able to accept those words in my heart. Such a change brought great blessings into my heart and life. However, after that happened, certain problems also surfaced. It was the fact that other people were unable to understand me. I do not know if you have ever experienced this, but when I could not understand God, other people understood me very well. After I came to understand God, other people could no longer understand me.

Anyhow, all the offerings the Bible speaks about require sacrifice. We can know that God is pleased when a complete sacrifice is offered. That is why before we delve deeper into the words on the burnt offering, we must first think, "Why is Go not pleased with sheep or bullocks running around, grazing, growing up, and raising their young? Why is He satisfied with them bleeding, collapsing, and being burnt into ashes? That is what I want to speak to you about.

The Disobedient Heart

When God first made man, He did not make man into the image we know today. The faces of newborn babies are pure and innocent, but when these children grow up and live in the world, the look in their eyes becomes more bitter and sharper. Even during 30 or 40 years of life, people change so much. Adam, made by God in Eden, departed from God, and thousands of years have passed. The image of man must have changed so drastically from man's first image God made, so much so that it would be extremely hard for us to imagine. The problem is that we do not know the image of man when God created him. Nevertheless, people have truly changed so much, and not in a good way, but in a bad way.

Man has become very distant from God. It means that people have departed from Him.

Adam and Eve were one day tempted by the serpent in the Garden of Eden, and they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. People may simply think, "All they did was just eat from the fruit of this tree," and not think much of it. However, this was already combined with many problems and it created a tremendous change to Adam and Eve. We say that Adam and Eve disobeyed God when they ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In turn, we simply say that they sinned in front of God. Yes, it is true that Adam and Eve disobeyed God and committed sin. However, they not only disobeyed God, they also challenged God.

Satan spoke to Eve through the serpent. "God knows that on the day that you eat of it, your eyes will be open to be like God. That is why He told you not to eat it." Upon hearing his words, a certain thought arose in Eve's heart. She thought,

"Ah, God was afraid that I would become like Him if I eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. So God did not want me to become like Him. He wanted to be God all by Himself. That is why He did not want me to eat this." With that kind of a heart, Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That is why, first and foremost, the fact that she partook was disobedience to God. But secondly, it was challenging God, too. From then on, there was a distance between God and man. Man lost the freedom to approach God. That is why, even today, when we come before God we feel that we must bring something. We feel burdened to come forth as we are, in our weak image.

Tremendous problems arose after Adam and Eve ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. As a result of disobeying God and challenging Him, death resulted. People began to feel pricked in their conscience, and fear came upon their hearts. When people fall into sin, most of them just become lost inside of sin without any thought. However, the catalyst that is Satan has set up terrible snares at every step. He is continually working so that people will not be able to find a way to break free from the power of darkness. Through eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, man disobeyed God and challenged Him. As a result, a distance was formed between God and man. Death, sadness, and pain accompanied this distance. The scarier thing is that certain thoughts people never had before arose in their hearts. People no longer had a heart to obey God like before. They began to fall into new thoughts that were completely different from the heart given to them before. From then on, through the thoughts that bubbled up inside of them, people were unable to follow God's guidance. Because the thoughts that prevent people from receiving God stand strong in their hearts, they make many people go astray from God.

Spirit of Obedience

In this way, we can see that God sent Jesus Christ to the world and He is continually restoring people, one by one, from all the problems that have arisen because of the sin of Adam and Eve. Throughout the history of mankind, God destroyed the son of disobedience and exalted Jesus Christ, who obeyed. Because Adam and Eve disobeyed, Jesus came to this earth as the son of obedience. Adam had the conditions to be able to obey, but he disobeyed. On the other hand, even though Jesus Christ had extremely difficult conditions for obeying, He lived a life of obedience.

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross."

Jesus Christ came to this earth to recover what had been destroyed when man committed sin. That is the work that Jesus did. Satan causes man to disobey the things they should obey. Satan makes a wife argue and defy her husband.

At times, my opinions differ from those of my wife. And at times, we argue. As the husband, I feel that my wife is fooled sometimes into thinking her thoughts are more correct than mine. So, when my wife says that her thoughts are right, at times, I would think, "How can I break her out of that illusion?" However, in such times, my wife thinks, "Because my husband is like this or like that, I should not obey him."

However, those thoughts are ultimately from the thoughts that come from the spirit that works in the children of disobedience.

Even when the church must obey Christ, Satan consistently provides to the disobedient, enough reasons and conditions to only disobey. In the same way, when a wife disobeys her husband, Satan brings forth conditions to only disobey, and causes her to disobey. On the other hand, the wise wife who knows Jesus Christ, does not obey the husband because there are conditions to obey or because it is worth it to obey. But rather, she obeys through the spirit of obedience.

They say that Samcheok City is a place where liquor sells very well. People there board their boats and go out into the ocean to catch squid. From time to time, certain boats break down and they are unable to return to the harbor. Then the fishermen who know the boat's owner gather at the bar.

"That punk. How terrible. He struggled so much trying to scrape money together to make a living, but his life ended like this. He ended up dead. How miserable. Let's have a drink." That is one way they drink and spend their time.

However, when the friend they thought was dead comes back to the harbor alive, they say to that friend, "Hey, we thought you were dead! But you're alive! Let's have a drink." If you think about this logically, if these fishermen were drinking because they were so tormented that the person they knew and used to fish with had died, then if that person was actually alive and came home, they should not drink, right?

However, people who enjoy drinking always have a reason to drink no matter what happens.

They say, "We're catching so few fish. How are we going to make a living? This is upsetting. Let's go have a drink" But on the other hand, they say, "Today we caught so many fish! This is great! Let's go have a drink." Does a person need special reasons to drink? It is the same for people who disobey — they create conditions for disobedience. In their own ways, they have justifiable reasons and conditions to disobey. However, this all actually comes from Satan. That is why the Lord says, "The woman ought to have power on her head. And just as church obeyed Christ, the wife should also obey her husband."

All crime started from the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Their disobedience became the source of sin. After Adam and Eve forsook the word of God and ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, people became hesitant and afraid to come in front of God because of their committed sin. In turn, God sent Jesus Christ to thi world for the people who are unable to come in front of Him. And through Jesus' death, God resolved all their sins.

In the book of Isaiah, it says, "I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee." (Isaiah 44:22) After man sinned and became disobedient, Jesus Christ changed the disobedience into obedience. When the wife disobeys her husband, God shows how the Church obeyed Christ. Through it, He leads the wives to the path of obedience. When we were once afraid to come in front of God, He took care of that fear through Jesus at the cross. Through it, He opened the way for us to come forth boldly before God.

Thoughts Polluted by the Plans of Satan

The most important problem I am trying to address is that ever since the day that man committed sin, thoughts that are different from God continuously arise inside of us. And a will different from God's will works inside of us to drag us a certain way. So, how does God take care of this problem? Through the burnt offering, God wants to clear up the thoughts that do not come from the heart to believe in Him, but from you thinking that you are right. In the Bible, God says, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways." (Isaiah 55:8) It says that God's thoughts are not in any way similar to ours. They are, in fact, completely different.

What are most of our thoughts about? Most of our thoughts are about wanting to live in a nice apartment, driving a nice car, and eating delicious food. Students think about wanting to attend a great university. God says that all those thoughts are different from the thoughts of God. Then, according to God, what exactly is different? When I was in elementary school, sometimes our school would tell us to catch a mouse and bring it to school. If kids nowadays were told that, they would faint. But in those days, when the students brought the mice they caught to school the next day, they would fill up many sacks. The owners of fruit orchards said that if you bury mice under an apple tree, the apples grow really well. Therefore, farmers would occasionally ask for mice. At first, that was how they took care of the mice we caught. However, later on, the students caught too many mice and brought them in. There was a terrible stench that came from our school. Later on, they told us not to bring the whole mouse, but to cut off their tails and bring them.

The more senior folks have experienced this, right? Anyways, there were so many mice back then.

But how do you catch a mouse? Do you wait in front of its hole, and when it pops out, hit it with a stick, and then grab it? This may sound funny, but a long time ago, there was a person eating his food, and a fly was flying around him. He caught the fly with his chopsticks. Then a person next to him plucked off one of his hairs from his head, and made a tiny noose. Every time he saw a flea jump, he would behead each flea with the noose he made out of his hair. If that is how skilled you are, then you could wait in front of the mouse's hole and catch it when the mouse pops out. But back then, we used mousetraps or rat poison. We mixed rat poison with the food that the mouse likes, and left it in front of the mouse's hole. Mice nowadays are very clever, so they avoid the food that has rat poison. But back then, mice would eat the food and die.

Could a very smart mouse avoid eating the food tainted with rat poison, while picking out the good, untainted food?

Because rat poison is blended into all of the food, it would be impossible for the mouse to pick out what is untainted. In reality, they are not only unable to pick out the food that does not contain rat poison, but also cannot even tell the difference between both types of food.

That is why these mice just see the food as good, and they tirelessly eat it. Just as we mix rat poison with food to catch mice, Satan mixes his own plans into the thoughts of man. In other words, all the thoughts we have are contaminated by the plans of Satan. Just as a mouse cannot tell apart the tainted and untainted food, we also do not have the ability to tell the difference between our thoughts that have the plan of Satan, and those that do not. God knew this.

Not by Repairing, but by Throwing Away

No matter how delicious or expensive food may be, if it has rat poison in it, it should be thrown away. A long time ago, a child of a church member ate a sandwich that had rat poison in it. He had to be rushed to the hospital to have his stomach pumped. If people eat food even in the same proximity of rat poison, they become worried thinking, "Maybe there is rat poison in this food, and it might cause problems in my body." No matter how expensive food may be, if it is laced with rat poison, instead of trying to carefully pick out the parts of the food without rat poison and eating it, the smartest thing to do is throw the entire plate of food away.

The plans and strategies of Satan cannot be separated from your thoughts. That is why God tells us that all the thoughts we have must be thrown away. "Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts." (Isaiah 55:6-7).

The Bible clearly tells us to not repair our thoughts and come to God, but to forsake our thoughts and come to God.

In other words, Satan's subtle schemes are mixed in with people's thoughts, and they cannot be picked out. That is why the entire thought must be thrown away. The plans of Satan inside of your thoughts cannot be washed away with water, or be picked out like a stone-picker picks out small stones from rice.

Let me give you an example about how the thoughts of man and the thoughts of God are different. Once, my daughter was watching a movie called, Ben Hur, to study English. It had subtitles, and I watched it with her. There is a scene in the movie when Messala really mistreats Ben Hur. Upon seeing that scene, my daughter said, "I hate Messala." So, I replied, "That's what's in the script. The movie script was written that way. That's why the actor is acting that way." She then said, "I still hate him."

There was an old actor, named, Heo Jang Kang. He always played a villain. So whenever he was out in public, children would yell, "Heo Jang Kang, you terrible, wicked man!" And they would throw stones at him. However, it was well known that he was very sincere and diligent compared with the screen actors of his time. And he was very faithful to his family. People see the actors who play evil roles like Messala. or actors like Heo Jang Kang, as being bad. They have the tendency to see actors who play good roles like Ben Hur as being good. It has absolutely nothing to do with their actual images, but that is how people imagine them to be.

Let us think a little deeper about this. In movies, when you see characters like Messala, or Emperor Nero of Rome, have you ever had the heart to not hate the actor who played that role, but that character? "People like that deserve to be cursed at!" "Those kinds of people deserve to die!" You must have had a few instances where you thought it was appropriate to hate that person. This illustrates that point where God's thoughts and our thoughts are different. Because God is love, even when it is an absolute condition for some people to be hated, God cannot hate that person.

When we do something, and see that we can help someone else out with a white lie, we feel that we can tell such lies. In these situations, you may say, "I told this little lie to help somebody out. This is a good thing." Do you not justify yourself? However, God can never lie in any instance. Again, God's thoughts and man's thoughts are very different.

Because we all live in sin, we do not feel these kinds of things. When a person commits murder, theft, adultery, or does more wicked things than regular people, we consider that person evil. We know that adultery and theft are evil, but we do not consider our thoughts to be evil at all.

However, in God's eyes, all of the are evil. God can never mix with unrighteousness. He cannot be used for unrighteousness. And the plan of God does not partake in unrighteousness. However, people's thoughts are easily used for unrighteousness, and they easily participate in unrighteousness. That is another reason why God's thoughts and man's thoughts are different by nature.

Most people compare themselves to others, and think they are goodlier or more honest. They consider themselves to be good and righteous. Many people are deceived by those thoughts, and they flow to a place that is very distant from God. They follow their own thoughts, perceptions, and ways, and eventually walk to their destruction.

True Meaning of the Burnt Offering

What is the true meaning of the burnt offering in Leviticus chapter 1? God saw that the male bullock (the offering) was completely burnt up and none of its flesh remained. The bullock was turned into ashes, and that is what makes God joyful and satisfied when He sees it. This tells us that God is pleased, content, satisfied, and considers it a sweet savor when He sees you realizing all your fleshly thoughts and all your humanistic ways and plans are useless. He rejoices in the fact that they are all completely burnt up and gone from your heart. That is the only point in which Jesus Christ can work inside of your heart. The name, "Levi," means, "to unite." Therefore, the very first thing we need to be united with God is for our thoughts to be completely burnt and rid of in the same manner as the flesh and entrails of the burnt offering burnt up and disintegrated upon the altar. Because our thoughts flow in a completely different direction from the thoughts of God, unless they are completely burnt and rid of, unless they are turned into ashes, unless they are eviscerated into smoke, they will continue to remain and oppose God's will. They will only work to distract and block His plan.

What happened when the serpent tempted Eve in Genesis chapter 3? The serpent asked Eve, "Did God truly say that you shall not eat of the fruit of every tree of the garden?" There was only one thing the serpent had to do to make Eve eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Eve knew the word of God that said, "If you eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you will die," so the serpent had to change Eve's thoughts. As long as Eve does not throw away the word of God in her heart that says,

"If you eat of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, you will die," the serpent would never be able to make Eve eat that fruit. As long as the word of God is placed in her heart, she cannot partake.

The serpent had to work to change Eve's thought that said,

"I will die if I eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." The thought of the serpent was the thought to disobey the word of God. That was the thought to go against God and be contrary to God. In order to accomplish this, the serpent lied to Eve. "You will not surely die. God knew that the day you eat of it, your eyes will be opened like God, and you would get to know good and evil, like God." The serpent deceived her, telling her that she would become like God if she ate from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Eve did not know that these were lies the serpent was telling her in order to make her disobey God, so she accepted those lies. As a result, she plucked and partook of this fruit.

From then on, a heart and thoughts different from the heart to obey God that was in man before, began to arise.

You may think that you are good and serving God well, but God says that your thoughts are going against the will of God. No matter how you are living, your thoughts go against God. However, the problem is that you do not know it. All of your thoughts are going against God. That is why Jesus Christ cannot just remain in your heart. God had to work to change your heart again so that Jesus may remain.

All your thoughts that differ from God's must be killed. A male bullock comes in front of the altar, sheds its blood, collapses, dies, and soon afterwards, it is burnt up and turned into ashes. All of your thoughts must die in this manner. Not only the dirty and evil thoughts inside of your heart, but also the great and smart ones. It means that all of your thoughts and plans must die.

Recently I met a member of our church, who lives in the City of Busan, and I spoke with her. She came to our church and received salvation, but from then on, she followed a weird doctrine. Her doctrine was that we were saved by grace, but if one's actions were not good, one would not be allowed into the thousand-year kingdom. It was a very scary teaching. Doctrines that put emphasis on man's works always tie people up and shackle them like slaves. I spoke with this sister for a long time, and eventually talked with her about Matthew chapter 25, in regards to the five foolish virgins and the five wise virgins. The sister said that the five foolish virgins are saved too, but that they did not participate in the wedding. I began to explain these words to her. "The five foolish virgins had the lamps, but it says that they did not have the oil. Did you know the oil represents the Holy Spirit?" She replied, "Yes, that is what I believe." So I then continued, "Then do you believe that people without the Holy Spirit in their hearts are saved? Later on, when those virgins come and say, 'Lord, Lord, open up onto us, the Lord answered unto them, 'I do not know you? Can the Lord say that He does not know saved people? Does that make any sense?"

Even though this sister could not reply to what I was saying, she was not willing to follow the word of God at all.

Sadly, this sister fell into a thought that the doctrine she had learned was correct. Even though she had the clear word of God in front of her, she did not accept it. If you have no oil, no matter how diligent and hard-working you are, you are a person without the Holy Spirit and cannot participate in the wedding. It is only fitting that the Lord will say to that person that He does not know him. This is very obvious, but if you fall into the thought that what you have is correct, then you become unable to accept the words of the Bible as the words of God.

Why People Cannot Obey

In the Bible, Jesus Christ was crucified for our sins, and it testifies that He has clearly washed away all of our sins.

However, Satan very subtly makes us think, "But I commit ted sins. The Bible says that I'm righteous, but I sin. How can I be righteous? I'm a sinner." He deceives our hearts so that we live being tied down to these kinds of thoughts. The thought that, "I'm a sinner because I committed sins," is the result of being deceived by Satan's conniving plan. On the other hand, many consider the people who live spiritual life this way to be humble and role models of spiritual lite. In addition, they rather see people who say, "The blood of Jesus washed away all my sins. Therefore, I have no sins. I'm righteous," to be arrogant. They consider such people as having bad spiritual lives. Inside of the "humbleness" of calling yourself a sinner, and underneath the heart of considering yourself to be humble, the plan of Satan is included.

Thinking that you have a good spiritual life has been contaminated with the plan of Satan. It means that within the thought that you are good, there is the plan of Satan at work.

That is why we must put everything aside, whether it is good or evil in our eyes, or whether it be righteous or truthful. God is pleased with those who do not add their own thoughts to the word of God, but accept the word of God purely as it is. People who do not include their own thoughts in any way are people who can hear the voice of God exactly as it is. God is pleased with the people who can obey the word of God as it is written, and who can throw their own thoughts away, regardless of how they are. God is satisfied with these people. The heart and actions of these people become a sweet savor before God, and brings Him satisfaction.

Even though we are saved, what is the reason we are unable to obey the word of God exactly as it is? It is because when we hear the word, our own thoughts begin to work.

Recently, there was a pastor who was in a car accident.

The morning he was in the car accident I was praying to God. I do not always do this, but at times while praying, I fall deep into the heart of God. Prayer time is not always joyful. There are times when I do feel that the sweet hour of prayer is my most joyful time. That morning, while praying, I thought about the loving Jesus. I thought deeply about Jesus, and I had a conversation with Him. The very same Jesus, who hears my prayers, is the One who created heaven and earth. He allowed beautiful flowers to bloom; He allowed delicious fruits to be borne; He is the one who operates the sun and the moon so that they will move without ever crashing into one another. He who is capable of all things loves me. And as I was praying that morning, I thought deeply about the fact that He lives inside of me in a

I thought about how even though I live with this very Jesus in my heart, when there are problems, I would struggle so much, and I would worry and be tormented. I felt I had been so foolish. I had pushed the Lord, who is able to resolve everything beautifully, aside and to the back. That morning I felt so embarrassed of myself, who worried while doing things. As I have lived, even though the Lord who created heaven and earth abides in me, I was oftentimes worried. I had been deceived by Satan. But that morning, that was not the case. Jesus filled my heart and it overflowed.

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me." (Psalms 23:4) Jesus, who delivered David from the valley of the shadow of death was protecting me from within. When I thought about how He would lead me to that land, I was infinitely thankful.

That day, at 1:50 in the afternoon, the car accident occurred.

When I heard about what had happened, I had the heart that the Lord would take care of this problem as well. It was that pastor's mistake that caused the car accident, and it was a very big accident. The car did not have insurance, and I thought that it was going to be very complicated, and difficult to settle and square away. However, we were able to just pay for the repair costs of the damaged car, and the medical costs of the other driver. There were no other expenses and the problem was taken care of nicely. The Lord took charge and took care of this problem, and He had shown me how He was at work. I was so thankful.

Even aside from this, there really were very many difficult problems throughout my life. I know that it is not just me. I am sure that you have had various kinds of problems. If you do not have Jesus, then it is the right thing for you to be worried, afraid, and in fear. However, the Lord is clearly with us.

Then, why should we worry? We worry because we have the habit of worrying and being disturbed, and these kinds of thoughts are not completely burnt at the altar. The reason we worry and become concerned is from the fact that our old habits have not been turned into ashes, but remain alive as a lives beautifully.

Satan’s Brainwash

Satan blocks us so that the will of God may not be fulfilled inside of us. He has always brainwashed people so they would not get saved and continually believe they are right.

Because of this, there are countless people who do not understand that Jesus has saved them. And they are unable to believe in the Gospel. Even though they may understand the Gospel with their heads, there are many who say, "This cannot be," and are unable to believe. Some people hear the Gospel and say, "What a joke." If that were true, then nobody would be saved. They say, "If salvation is so easy, then who would go to hell?" In such ways, this deceptive Satan deceives them. That said, we should not think that Satan uses certain thoughts to trick us and leaves other thoughts alone. We should not be arguing about which thoughts were the ones that came from Satan and which thoughts were not.

Rather, we must remember that all the thoughts that come from us have been contaminated by the plan of Satan.

There are people who think that they have been more truthful than others. There are people who think they have been more perfect in the way they live than others. There are even people who think they are better than others. There are also people who think that they have lived more honestly than others. Whatever the thoughts may be, Satan uses them to block the opportunities for us to be saved. However, Satan cannot hide the fact that we had committed sins and that our lives were covered in sinfulness. Because we have committed sins, we know that we are sinners. And in order to keep us from becoming saved, Satan quickly puts another thought in us when we do commit sins: "Hey, you're committing too many sins. Stop committing sins and start being good now, Go to church on Sundays and give tithes. Do a lot of good work in the church." He puts these thoughts inside of us. He makes us unable to go before the throne of the grace of Jesus,

Many people have become completely brainwashed by Satan, and they try to do well on their own. They follow their thoughts and they try to do work that looks good in their own eyes according to their own ways. However, God does not want us to do good deeds, pray hard, or help others.

That is not what God wants. God wants everything that comes from our thoughts to burn up, turn into ashes, and disappear. He hopes that only the will of God will stand in our hearts.

Once, I went to meet the father of one of our church members. He was completely against his son coming to our church. Therefore, our church member was going through many difficulties. However, one day, the father had a stroke and he found himself unable to go to the bathroom on his own. I wanted to go and preach the Gospel to him. However, he was so against this, that i could not do so. After some time had passed, the church member called me, and said,

"Pastor, my father passed away." The hearts of our entire church congregation were greatly pained.

We went to the funeral home, had service together, and did the funeral. We got in the hearse and went to the crematory together. We put the father's coffin into the burning fur nace. After about an hour, the coffin and everything was completely burnt up, and everything was gone. Only a few pieces of bone remained. When they handed a small amount of money to a person who worked there, they put the ashes into a grinder, and ground everything into powder, and then handed it to us. Our church member put the powder into a small plastic bag, and went to the Han River with a few other people. I also went with him.

He borrowed a boat and spread the powder all along the Han River. It was so empty. He was a man who yelled at me, saying he did not want to listen to me when I had tried to preach the Gospel to him just a few days ago. Now, he was burnt up. All that remained was his ashes spread across the Han River. Now he no longer exists in this world. His greatness, his intelligence, and his brilliance were rendered to nothing. He was now just a handful of ashes in the river.

I felt how empty this life really was as I saw this series of events unfold. It is not our bodies that burn up and disappear, but our "smart" thoughts, our "good" thoughts, and the thoughts that we have been living our spiritual lives well.

Those thoughts burn and become ashes. If the will of God is found within of our hearts, Jesus will be our Lord and God will be our God without even the tiniest bit of our thoughts included. Then He will take care of all the problems that we Will have now and will face later.

A Certain Ruler Who Could Not Break His Own Thoughts

Now there remains one thing that we must do: burn ourselves up at the altar. Many saints do not remove their own skin. They keep their images as they re, and they try to live their spiritual lives going before God with that in hand. It means that these people continue to live spiritual lives by just going forward to God in the way they pray, the way they give offering, how they read the Bible, and how they live spiritual life.

One day, Jesus met a certain ruler. That ruler asked Jesus,

"Good master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus said to him, "You know the law. Thou shalt not murder.

Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt love your neighbor as your own body. " "I have kept all these since my youth," the ruler replied. Jesus loved this ruler and spoke to him again, saying, "There is one thing you lack. " Jesus did not say two things. He said just one thing. The Lord said, "Go and sell all that you have and give it to the poor. And then come and follow me."

This ruler heard of the law that states that one shall not commit murder. "That is correct. I shouldn't murder. I should never commit murder." In his heart, he agreed with those words. He heard of the law that states not to commit adultery. "A person should not commit adultery. These are good words. I should never commit adultery." He agreed with these laws and acknowledged them to be correct in his heart. That is why he was able to keep them. How did this ruler serve God? He was able to follow and do the parts that he liked and fit his heart. However, he was unable to put himself on the altar and burn everything about himselt and break his own thoughts. When Jesus said, "Sell all of your possessions and give to the poor," he was unable to comply.

Jesus told this ruler to sell all of his possessions and give them to the poor because, rather than telling this person to give alms, Jesus was hoping he would break everything that he liked. What must break are the things that you like and your own characteristics.

"I am saved, but I can't get rid of classical music." In such people, classical music is the lord of their heart. Jesus cannot be the lord in their heart. For some people it is art that is their master. For some people, their university is their lord.

For some people, their children are their lords. For some people, money is their lord. For these people, Jesus cannot be their true lord.

The Evil of Not Burning Yourself Up

Our loving brothers and sisters, we will see through the book of Leviticus at many offerings get burned. To those of you who hold yourself dear and precious, the time for you to burn yourself is now. In Leviticus, we could see many sheep shedding their blood and dying. Even the desires of your flesh must one day also be burnt up, just as many offerings are burned in fires and turned into ash. If not, everything that comes from your heart and your mouth is abominable.

No matter how good of an image these things may project, they are evil. This is because you are giving something to God that has been contaminated by Satan's plan. It is no different from giving food that is laced with rat poison to God.

God is requiring sacrifice through the book of Leviticus.

That is evil. Even though we may sell our wealth and give alms to the poor widows and orphans, it is difficult to completely give ourselves upon the altar and have ourselves completely burnt.

God will be so joyful and satisfied to see you burnt up, turned to ash, and disappear.
